Are you sick of your red cheeks making you look constantly flushed or sun burnt?
Rosacea is a non-contagious skin inflammation that primarily affects the facial area.
Surface capillaries dilate; creating a red flush that may be accompanied by small pustules and lumps.
Rosacea is most predominant in skins with Celtic heritage, is three times more common in women and can develop between the ages of 30 and 60.
Inflammation in the skin can be a result of broken capillaries, sensitivity or skin conditions such as rosacea.
A combination of in-clinic treatments and at-home care can significantly reduce flare-ups, resulting in a calmer, more even complexion.
Candela GentleYAG delivers optimal results delivering benefits such as:
- Reduction in red spots and blotches
- Reduced facial redness
- Reduced facial redness or persistently red cheeks
- Decrease in skin inflammation
GentleMax Pro Laser- effective management of Rosacea
- Absorption of the unique NdYAG 1064nm laser heats up the haemoglobin on the treated areas.
- Heat transfers to the damaged blood vessel walls causing contraction and destroying the blood vessel.
- Destroyed blood vessel is eliminated by phagocytosis (body’s removal process via the immune system).
The number of sessions depends on the severity but can range from 4 to 8 treatments.
In many cases the visible signs of improvement can be immediate.
Rosacea may reoccur over time, maintenance of single treatments only is required when the first signs of redness appear.
How to Treat
One of the main causes of rosacea is a thin epidermis. To prepare for a laser treatment we recommend using asap’s Super A and Super B serum to repair and restore your skin. This is to ensure maximum results and assist with acne, redness and rosacea.
Post Treatment
Sunscreen
Exposure to daylight is a major factor in the initiation and progression of Rosacea.
To prevent and slow down the process from early to advance symptoms, it is recommended to wear sunscreen daily whenever you are outdoors. We recommend daily use of asap’s moisturising daily defence spf 50+ is also paramount when receiving laser treatments for Rosacea.
Avoid strenuous exercise 48 hours post after treatment.
Avoid topical medications and active skin care products for 3-5 days.
